Who we are
Director.video is a product of Theseus AI ("Theseus", "we", "us"). These terms are an agreement between you and Theseus AI. Questions: [email protected].
The service
Director.video turns your brief into pictures, clips and films using AI models we run or license. It is offered as a Beta: features change, generations can fail, and we may limit usage to keep the service healthy.
Your account
You must be 16 or older. Keep your sign-in private. You are responsible for what you ask the studio to make. One account per person: do not create extra accounts or split work across accounts to get around plan limits.
Credits and payment
Generations cost credits. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged for money, and are forfeited when an account is closed. What a generation costs in credits can change as the underlying models and their prices change; the price is shown before you press Go. Paid plans renew automatically at the then-current price for the plan until you cancel from the billing portal; unused monthly credits roll over for one month.
Price changes
We can change plan prices. If a price rises, we email you at least 30 days before it applies, it applies only from your next renewal, and the price of a term you have already paid for never changes. If you do not want the new price, cancel before the renewal.
Discounts and promotions
Introductory and promotional prices apply to the period stated in the offer and renew at the then-current list price. Where a discount is shown against a list or earlier price, that price is a reference price for comparison. Offers can end at any time; a price you have already paid is honoured for its term.
Unlimited plans and fair use
Where a plan includes unlimited use of an engine, that means as many generations as a person can reasonably make through the studio at standard speed. To keep the service healthy for everyone we apply queue priority and daily and concurrent limits, and may slow or pause heavy use during busy periods. We may change which engines are included, and the included allowances, with notice on the pricing page. Unlimited use is personal to the account: no automation against the service, no sharing of accounts and no splitting work across accounts.
Your content
You own the films you make, subject to the licences of the underlying models. To improve the service and build our own models, we may use your briefs, your edits in the timeline and the pictures and films the studio makes for you. We never use the faces or voices of real people you upload for training, and we never sell your content or give it to other companies to train on. You can opt out of training by emailing [email protected]; deleting content or your account stops it going forward. Do not make content that is illegal, that impersonates real people without consent, or that depicts minors in a sexual way. We may remove such content and close the account.
What you upload
You are responsible for everything you upload or point the studio at: photos, clips, music, voices, characters and likenesses. By uploading it you confirm that you own it or have the rights and permissions needed to use it this way, including the consent of any real person whose face, voice or likeness appears, and that using it with our tools does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights. Theseus does not check uploads for rights and takes no responsibility for them; if a claim arises from your uploads, you will cover it. We may remove content or suspend an account on a credible complaint. Rights holders can write to [email protected] with a link to the content.
Memes and parody templates
Some tools start from short clips of well-known videos so you can put yourself in them. That is parody, and you are responsible for how you use the result. Every meme download carries a director.video mark. If you hold rights in a clip or appear in one and want it removed, email [email protected] with the link: we honour takedown requests and remove the template promptly.
Copyright complaints
To report content that infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with the link, what you own and how to reach you. We remove infringing content and close the accounts of repeat infringers.
Our content
Sample projects, previews and the interface are ours. Do not copy or resell the service.
Warranty and liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous three months.
Sharing and public pages
Using a share link makes that clip viewable by anyone with the link and lets us show it on that page with a "Make your own" button. Turn sharing off any time from the library.
Analytics and email
We measure visits and product usage as described in the Privacy Policy, and may email account holders about the service. You can unsubscribe from non-essential email.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we email account holders at least 14 days before they take effect and note the new date here. Using the service after that date means you accept the new terms.
