Who we are

Director.video is a product of Theseus AI ("Theseus", "we", "us"), which is the controller of the personal data described here. Questions: [email protected].

What we collect

Account: your name, email address and profile picture from the sign-in provider you choose, handled by our sign-in service. Your work: the briefs, pictures, clips and voice lines you upload, and everything the studio makes for you. Usage and billing: which tools you run, how many credits they cost, your plan and invoices (payments are handled by our payment processor; we never see your card number). Technical: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and errors, for security and to keep the service working.

Analytics

We use a privacy-first analytics service that sets no cookies and collects no personal data, to count visits, pages and which tools people try. Inside the app we record product events (for example "film finished") against your account so we can improve the studio and support you. We do not use advertising trackers.

Marketing

If you sign up we may email you about your account, the beta, and new features. Every such email has an unsubscribe link, and we never sell or rent your address. Clips you explicitly share with a public link may be shown on that link's page; nothing else you make is public unless you choose to make it so.

Who else sees your data

We rely on third-party services to run the studio: AI model providers that generate pictures, clips and voices, and providers of hosting, storage and content delivery, sign-in, payments and analytics. Some generation runs on our own machines and some on third-party servers, which may be in other countries. Each provider receives only what its part of the job needs — a model provider gets the prompt and media for that generation, never your name or email — and processes it on our behalf under its own privacy and retention terms. We do not sell your data.

Faces and voices

When you use a feature that puts a face or voice into a clip (recast, swap, lip-sync, voice lines), the picture or audio you supply is processed only to make that clip, on our machines or a model provider's. It is not stored as a face or voice template, not matched against anything, and never sold. Delete the upload or the project and it is gone from our servers within 30 days.

Training

We may use your briefs, your edits in the timeline and the pictures and films the studio makes for you to improve the service and to train our own AI models. We do not use the faces or voices of real people you upload for training, and we do not sell your content or give it to other companies to train on. You can opt out by emailing [email protected]; deleting content or your account stops it going forward.

Your rights

You can export or delete your account and content from Settings, or email [email protected]. Closed accounts are archived for 30 days, then purged. You may ask what we hold about you at any time.

Retention and security

Data lives on our servers and is backed up nightly. Access is limited to staff who need it for support. We keep usage and billing records as long as the law requires.

Children

The service is for people 16 and over.

Changes

For material changes we email account holders before they take effect and note the new date here.
